The new flagship showroom of the Ukrainian brand Gunia Project is located on the ground floor of a late 19th-century building on a historic street near the Golden Gate — the very area where old Kyiv began. The combination of old and new perfectly reflects the philosophy of Gunia Project. In its collections, the brand explores Ukrainian identity not through direct references, but through layered meanings, interpretations, and imagery.

The new location continues this idea: it intertwines the historic character of the Kyiv street, the memory of the person who once lived in the building, and even elements that were once part of the interior of the Embassy of the Republic of Panama, which had been based within these walls. Today, the space presents a contemporary perspective on the Ukrainian cultural narrative and creativity.

The designer’s main task was to find a balance between old and new, decorative richness and minimalism. It was important to emphasize the modern character of the brand through clean, contemporary design solutions. The color palette — green, light blue, pale pink, blue, and beige tones — is inspired by nature and the pastoral motifs characteristic of Gunia’s aesthetic. Moving through the showroom, visitors feel as though they are stepping into a picturesque garden filled with soft hues and gentle shadows.
