Materials: light travertine, red and black marble

“Cards” is a small accent table inspired by the image of a card house. His idea is to combine a light form familiar from childhood with a heavy natural stone that is usually associated with statics and monumentality.

All parts are made of stone: the base is of travertine, and the figures are of red and black marble. Colored elements are cut into the main plate with an accuracy of a millimeter – this creates an inlay effect when the drawing is not applied, but literally embedded in the structure of the product.

This design is about playing with ideas: a massive stone becomes a “constructive cardboard”, and simple shapes are the basis for an object object.
