The new flagship showroom of the Ukrainian brand Gunia Project is located on the first floor of a late 19th-century building on a historic street near the Golden Gate. This is the place where old Kyiv began.

The combination of old and new perfectly resonates with the philosophy of Gunia Project. In its collections, the brand interprets Ukrainian identity not through direct quotations, but through layers of meanings, interpretations, and imagery. The new location continues this idea: it interweaves the historicism of the Kyiv street, the memory of the person who lived in the building, and even elements that belonged to the interior of the Embassy of the Republic of Panama, which was based within these walls. Today, the space presents a contemporary perspective on Ukrainian cultural narrative and creativity.

The designer’s main objective was to find a balance between old and new, decorativeness and minimalism. It was important to emphasize the modernity of the brand using concise, contemporary solutions. The palette—green, blue, pale pink, navy, and beige tones—is inspired by nature and the pastoral motifs characteristic of Gunia’s aesthetic. Moving through the showroom, the visitor is immersed in a picturesque garden with soft hues and half-tones.
