Vibrations

“Vibrations” is a project made of galvanized metal, polished from all sides. Texture is created due to multidirectional grinding. The object is built on the principle of canvas weaving. Snap strips are sharp and heavy — but at the same time express fragility, lightness and vulnerability, because any change in angle or location alters this seemingly stable object.

Undoubtedly, the project can trace the influence of Ani Albers textiles.

Crossings seem to refer to its rhythms, but go far beyond textiles. The flexibility and warmth of wool or other fibers here replaces cold metal. Despite this material opposite, the object interacts with the environment: it is alive,

Each texture on the strip reflects something of its own from the space, constantly changing light and shadow.
